Fucked Up Cinema, Pt. 1

I present to you an on-again, off-again blog series called “Fucked Up Cinema”. I have a video of Jackie Gleason playing a caught-mobboss on an acid trip drawing math with tommy-gun bullet-holes in the wall, but I’ll save that for later and opt for the much easier-to-watch actual music video for the Beatles song, I Am The Walrus. You’ll notice there’s much less editing than a modern music video, and that, I think, is for two reasons: 1) There wasn’t really such thing as a music video in 1968. This was just an art video they made to go along with the song, and 2) this was shot on film, so the editing was done with scissors and tape. Yeah, kinda impressive. This video definitely classifies as fucked up cinema:
